Eco-Anthracite is owned by Bill Klotz. He began working in the construction industry while attending school at N.C. State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation of Natural Resources. He has worked for subcontractors, builders, and engineering firms. He is a licensed General Contractor in North Carolina. He has consulted and taught classes for some of the largest builders and product manufacturers in the nation. He has also presented at several national conferences. A Master Certified Contractor, Klotz is also a seasoned Building Scientist and a Certified Level I Thermographer (Infrared). He was on the committee that formed the NC Green Builder Task Force and is the credited co-editor of "Principles of Building Science". Klotz spent six years working for Advanced Energy on NCSU's Centenial Campus.
In his free time, Bill is a board member of the N.C. State Varsity Club and in 2006 was appointed to the Wake County Historic Preservation Commission. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending every free moment with his wife, Melanie, and two German Shorthaired Pointers, Jager and Cash.
